What effects does violence have on people?

I was asked to answer the following question, so here it goes:

What effects does watching violence have on people?

I will explain. Let's say that there is a little girl, and she is watching this show on her television. Someone in the show is screaming, "I'LL STAB YOUR FREAKING EYE OUT!!!" (now, this would be bad, so that is why we are just pretending.)
Later on, she is sitting on a sidewalk outside of her favorite store eating Mac & Cheese! A hobo comes by and takes the Mac & Cheese. She is so upset that she chases him poking his arm with the fork screaming, "I'LL STAB YOUR FREAKING EYE OUT!!!"

Now, i guess that this is more of an inside joke, but if you find it funny, go ahead and laugh along, or if you feel dumb 'cause you don't understand, you can laugh too!
